In a distant future…

Earth has colonized the solar system. Life on the colonies is hard. Resources are scarce and life is short. Years of neglect, abuse, and excessive taxes led the colonies to war—war with Earth. Desperate for an edge in the coming conflict, the military of a Jupiter based colony on Europa turn to a disgraced scientist, Doctor Derrick Madison, to create the solar system’s first super soldiers. With their enhanced abilities these soldiers push Earth out of colonial space and are inches away from total victory.

Until one of these soldiers, Allen Quinn, awakens in a strange place where his superhuman abilities are mistaken for the divine powers of a god. Now, he must seek out answers in this strange new world in order to find a way back home. The only obstacles in his way are a slew of mythic creatures and a civil war between the gods!

Can Allen avoid being turned to stone by the wicked Medusa, squashed by the massive Cyclops, and speared by strange warriors long enough to find a way back home? Or will he be forced to choose sides in the epic struggle between the Titans and Olympians as…

king of the gods!

Who are the characters?

 Themes of Olympian Providence

Free will vs. Fate

All the major and supporting characters battle reconciling their own will versus the fates. Each chooses to run from their fate in different ways.

Olympian Providence leverages the fantastical world of the gods as a backdrop to ask the question:

“Do we really have control over our own lives?”

Death

Each of the Cadmus Project subjects are confronted with death in various ways throughout the story. The result of the experiment allowed each some clemency from death for many years.

What would you do if death was removed from the equation? How would that lack of fear drive your decisions and change your life?

Identity

Several major characters struggle with who they are. This manifests itself in different ways for each of the characters. Some adopt new personas. While others struggle to reconcile who they are with who they wish to be.

None embodies this struggle better than the Erakie character. The trauma she faces throughout the story creates some very real consequences in how she views herself.

Self vs. Community

Olympian Providence’s two major protagonists have very differing views on self-sacrifice.

Kumiko’s view is rooted in her eastern origins. She places high value in her community. People whom she will never know personally.

Allen’s view is rooted in western philosophies that place much more value in the self. Allen only finds the courage to sacrifice for those around him. Friends, family, and the people he can see and feel.
